Want to be a billionaire? Studies suggest that, in these industries, you can find the most number of billionaires.
According to Forbes, real estate industry tops the list. More than half of the country’s 50 richest people are from this industry. More than half of the 27 tycoons with real estate business are dollar billionaires.
Second on the list is the food and beverage industry, which includes both retailing and manufacturing of food and drinks as well as restaurant businesses. A total of 21 richest businessmen belong in this industry.
Thirdly, we have the utilities industry. This includes power generation as well as electricity and water distribution. It has 20 tycoons on the list.
In Forbes' Philippines’ 50 Richest 2017, Henry Sy topped the list at $18 billion. For the tenth year in a row, this mall and real estate magnate has been named as the world’s richest Filipino. He is also ranked 94th in the international magazine’s annual billionaires list with a net worth of $12.7 billion.
